Former President Trump said this week that if he were elected again, he would allow gasoline cars and prevent kids from getting sex changes.
He stated this at a gathering in Michigan for automobile component suppliers during the United Autoworkers (UAW) strike.
“The extreme Democratic Party of today seeks to legalize drugs, stealing from stores, and cutting your kids up sexually, but they want to let your gas-powered Ford F1-50s, as well as suburban Silverados, die,” he stated. “When Trump is in office, fuel cars will be legal, and kids won’t be able to have sex changes. Is that all right? Ten or fifteen years ago, if you said ‘We will stop cutting up children,’ someone would have asked, ‘What in the world is he talking about?'”
“They are doing it today, so you’ve got to say it. Not getting parental permission before mutilating a child. This whole thing is crazy.” He also said, “The country has gone crazy.”
The former president has said in the past that he would not allow children to have gender-reassignment surgery or hormone therapy.
An NBC News report from January said that “Trump declared in a straight-to-camera video uploaded to his Truth Social platform that he would order several government agencies to police and eventually ‘stop’ gender-affirming care for children, which he called ‘child abuse’ and also ‘child sexual mutilation.'”

“He also said that no government body could work to ‘promote the idea of sexual orientation and gender transitioning at any age,’ not just for kids,” he said.
