Cruz Destroys Biden Nominee Over Past Twitter Posts

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz destroyed President Joe Biden’s nominee for Commissioner of the Federal Trade Commission, Alvaro Bedoya, this week, but reading some of his past controversial Twitter posts out loud.

“It is time to call ICE what it is, an out of control domestic surveillance agency that peers into all of our lives,” Cruz read from a February tweet.

“Maryland police have no business working with ICE,” Cruz added from an April post.

Cruz noted, “I see the record of someone who has been a left-wing activist, a provocateur, a bomb thrower and an extremist.”

He then gave the nominee an opportunity to respond. Let’s just say it didn’t go well.

The stumbling responses showed Bedoya wasn’t ready for the attack and certainly had no explanation for his controversial Twitter attacks on ICE.

Cruz strikes back afterwards with yet more, noting the nominees Twitter criticisms of not only ICE, but also law enforcement. Not good for a guy who is looking to lead the Federal Trade Commission.

You would think the Biden administration would do a little research of its own before picking their nominees. Maybe they did and this is intentional, but thank God some lawmakers have enough sense to fight back.
