DeSantis Unloads on Waukesha Parade Media Coverage

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized media coverage of a suspect carrying out a fatal attack by driving into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

“This was an attack,” DeSantis declared.

“One of the things I think that’s been most frustrating to witness in terms of law enforcement is how anti-law enforcement narratives are consistently spun by these national corporate media outlets,” he added.

He argues the mainstream media creates a false narrative and is never held responsible to go back and correct it later.

Using the Waukesha parade tragedy as an example, he noted media outlets portray the event as if the SUV drove itself through a crowd of people. That’s not accurate at all.

The guy was a career criminal who should not have been out on the streets period. There is no reason to cover up the evidence because it doesn’t fit a narrative.

But don’t confuse mainstream media with the facts. Most networks left real journalism behind long ago to chase a story they want to tell, whether it’s true or not. DeSantis is right. What happened in Waukesha was an attack, whether the mainstream media want to acknowledge it or not.
